THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reacted harshly against PC George who was taken into police custody in a hate speech case. The Chief Minister also criticized the incident where a child was seen chanting hate slogans during the Popular Front rally in Alappuzha. He was speaking at an election rally in Thrikkakara.

"PC George has violated bail. He won't be able to go into hiding as he did earlier. Kerala is not a place where one can blabber anything as one wishes. You cannot shout whatever you want here. Nothing harmful to religious secularism will be allowed. What happened in Alappuzha was a speech that incited heavy religious hatred. The child who shouted the slogan does not know its danger. The man who carried the child on his shoulders was arrested. Those involved in the event were taken into police custody," the CM said. The CM also accused the Congress of helping the BJP.
