Gold seized again from Kannur airport, Rs 1 crore worth gold seized in one day

KANNUR: Gold worth Rs 80 lakh was seized from Kannur airport. 156 grams of gold was seized from a passenger named Abdul Thoufeer from Kasargod. He arrived on Air India Express flight from Abu Dhabi. The customs and DRI has seized gold worth Rs 30 lakh in the morning also in two other cases. The police seized 268 grams of gold from a toilet inside the airport and 360 grams of gold from Mohammad Danish, a native of Karnataka.
With this, gold worth Rs 1 crore 10 lakh was seized today within 24 hours, informed Customs.
