Vijay Babu’s anticipatory bail plea postponed to Friday, ban on arrest will continue

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court postponed to Friday considering the anticipatory bail plea of actor and producer Vijay Babu in the case of sexually abusing an actress. The government sought more time for the argument as the ADGP monitoring the case is quarantined.

The high court had earlier directed not to arrest him till his anticipatory bail plea is considered. The actor had claimed that he had not sexually abused the actress and that it was consensual sex.

The court will consider on Friday the anticipatory bail of the actor in the case of revealing the actress’ name. The actress had lodged the complaint against the actor on April 22 alleging that she was raped multiple times. Soon after, he came live on Facebook and revealed her name. Following that, the police registered a case.
