Dr M Sasikumar is the NSS President

PERUNNA: The budget meeting of the NSS on Monday elected the current treasurer Dr M Sasikumar as the president and Adv NV Ayyappan Pillai as the treasurer. Advocate PN Narendranathan Nair, who was the president, resigned due to illness. Nine new board members have also assumed office.

Sasikumar, the son of Kochatt Madhavan Pillai and Sharadamma, came to the forefront of NSS following the death of his father. He has been running an allopathic clinic in Chavara for 44 years. He led the Karthikappally union for three decades. He has been the NSS Treasurer for twelve years.

Sasikumar said he was proud and happy to be elected president. His wife is Sethulakshmi Kunhamma from Chavara. Children: Ushas (Chennai), Sandhya (Thiruvananthapuram). Son-in-law: Desh, Praveen.

Adv. NV Ayyappan Pillai has been a member of the Board of Directors for a long time.

M Sangeethkumar (Thiruvananthapuram), KR Sivankutty (Pandalam), CP Chandran Nair (Meenachil), G Madhusoodanan Pillai (Chirayankeezhu), D Anilkumar (Thiruvalla), KP Narayana Pillai (Kuttanad), MP Udayabhanu (Thalassery), Madavana Balakrishna Pillai (Kottayam) and R Haridas (Pathanamthitta) took charge as board members.
