Rahul Gandhi to appear before ED today, quizzed for 13 hours’ yesterday; Sonia Gandhi will not appear on Thursday

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald case on Tuesday as well. Rahul Gandhi is being questioned for the fifth time by the ED probe team. He was quizzed for 13 hours, last day.

Rahul Gandhi had appeared at the ED office along with sister Priyanka Gandhi, the other day. The interrogation began by around 11 am. After a one-hour lunch break, the quizzing was resumed again at around 4:45 pm.

The probe team has issued a notice to Sonia Gandhi summoning her at the ED office on June 23. However, Sonia is not likely to appear and is expected to request for a date extension. She will inform the ED about her doctor’s direction to take rest for two weeks. Meantime, Congress leaders will protest at the AICC headquarters alleging that the questioning is being extended without any reason.
