KOCHI: The Kerala High Court directed to submit supplementary charge sheet by July 22 in the actor assault case. The deadline for filing the supplementary charge sheet expired last Friday. However, the court order was after considering the plea filed by the crime branch and the survivor seeking three more weeks for further investigation in the case.

Dileep's friend and businessman Sarath is the sole accused in the supplementary charge sheet. Although the statements of 125 people were recorded, only about 80 people have been made witnesses by the prosecution in the charge sheet. The charge sheet mentioned that the visuals of the actress' attacked reached Dileep in November 2017. It was brought by Sarath, a friend whom Balachandra Kumar addressed as the VIP. It was found that these visuals were destroyed or deliberately concealed. Sarath was arraigned in the name of it. There are three things in the charge sheet for the visuals reaching Dileep.

The first is the explanation of director Balachandra Kumar, who witnessed seeing the visuals brought by Sarath to Dileep's house. The second is the audio recording of a conversation between Dileep, his brother Anoop and their friend Sarath regarding the scenes. During the forensic examination of Dileep's brother Anoop's phone, a four-page description of the visuals was found. The note was prepared on December 30, 2017. Based on this evidence, the prosecution established that the visuals have reached Dileep. The report also stated that although the visuals of the attack could not be recovered from Dileep's possession, the witness statements and circumstantial evidence confirm this.
