MUMBAI: The Enforcement Directorate is grilling Siva Sena MP Sanjay Raut in the Patra Chawl land scam case. Raut is being questioned by the probe agency team accompanied by central security agency at his home in Bandup. The ED is also conducting a raid at his house.

The ED had issued summons asking him to appear twice. However, he failed to appear citing Parliament session. Siva Sena activists have thronged his house after knowing about the interrogation. Meantime, Raut denied any wrongdoing and alleged that he is being targeted due to political vendetta.

‘False action, false evidence...I will not leave Shiv Sena...Even if I die, I will not surrender...I have nothing to do with any scam. I will continue to fight for Shiv Sena, I am saying this by taking the oath of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray,’ tweeted Raut.

Raut was questioned for nearly 10 hours on July 1. The ED attached assets worth Rs 11.15 crore of his wife Varsha Raut and two of his associates.
