Full support for relief activities implemented by govt, UDF workers will take up voluntary work

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said the UDF will fully support the relief activities implemented by the government in a situation where the state is in a crisis due to heavy rains and landslides.

Satheesan informed that the UDF workers will take up voluntary work and will be active in the relief works. The opposition leader said that he called Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and had conveyed his support.

Meantime, the central water commission has warned a possibility of floods following heavy rains in Kerala. Water commission deputy director Sini Manosh said there is a possibility of flooding in rivers in the southern districts.
