Will not stop construction of Vizhinjam port, talks with CM fail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The discussion held by the Chief Minister with Latin Archdiocese authorities to resolve the fishermen's strike against Vizhinjam port construction has failed. The Chief Minister informed the Church authorities that the construction of the port cannot be stopped. Archbishop Thomas J. Neto and Vicar General Eugene Pereira participated in the discussion. The discussion was held at Cliff House at 3 pm.
The Latin Archdiocese and the fishermen have decided to continue the protest in front of the Vizhinjam port as the discussion turned out to be a failure.
