Widespread rain in state today and tomorrow, warning issued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of widespread rain and heavy rain at isolated places in Kerala today and tomorrow. Monsoon trough is moving southwards from its normal position. The Meteorological Department also said that the present situation is likely to continue for the next three to four days.

The strong depression located in northwest-central Bay of Bengal near south Odisha-north Andhra coast moved in a west-northwest direction and became an intense depression near south Odisha coast. In the next 24 hours, it is likely to move in a west-northwest direction and decrease in strength. As a result of this, widespread rainfall is expected.
