Couple killed as out-of-control car rams into scooter

MANIMALA: In a tragic incident, a couple was killed after a car collided with their scooter. The accident took place at Karimpanakulam in Manimala on the Muvatupuzha-Punalur highway. The deceased have been identified as Kokkappuzha native Thankachan and his wife Usha. The accident took place on Tuesday evening.

Thankachan and Usha were travelling from Manimala to Ranni when a speeding car came from the opposite direction and rammed into the scooter. The car belongs to the natives of Chittar. While Thankachan died on the spot, Usha died on the way to the hospital.
