MUNNAR: M M Mani MLA said that will convince the Idukki Collector and Devikulam Sub-Collector the strength of the chief minister's party. He said this while reacting to the collector's remark that it is not enough for the chief minister to deliver a speech on the land issues in the district, the order should be given in writing.

‘The officials made a technical fault in the title deed granted 75 years ago. They need to correct this. The people are being tortured unnecessarily. The district collector and Devikulam Sub-Collector are acting in defiance of the chief minister's order to stop the action against the constructions which are against the land rules of 1964. This cannot be tolerated. Some IAS officers think they are above the chief minister. If all proceedings in connection with the land inspection are not stopped, will not allow him to step out. The CPM will besiege the Devikulam sub-collector's office on October 18 if the district administration does not withdraw from anti-people steps,’ threatened Mani.
