NEW DELHI: Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar who is in jail for financial fraud has raised strong allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party government. He has levelled serious allegations against former Delhi minister Satyendra Jain, who was jailed in a money laundering case. Chandrasekhar accuses Satyendra Jain threatened him and acquired Rs 10 crore. He had sent a letter to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena which included several serious allegations.

In his letter, the conman alleges that he had paid Rs 50 crore as he was promised an important party position in South India. He was also promised a Rajya Sabha seat. He wrote that he had known Satyendra Jain since 2015. In the letter, Sukesh Chandrasekhar also says that he have been associated with Sasikala faction in AIADMK. Sukesh has been serving his sentence in Tihar Jail since 2017 for money extortion cases.

Sukesh says that while he was in Tihar Jail after the arrest for the AIDMK two leaf symbol corruption case, Satyendra Jain visited him many times and demanded crores to increase his facilities in jail. This was in 2019. Sukesh alleged that the minister had told him to pay Rs 1.50 crore to DG Prison Sandeep Goel, who was loyal to him. Rs 10 crore was extorted from him through constant pressure. Rs 12.50 crore was also paid to the jail DG. Sukesh has filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court seeking a CBI probe into the incident. But Sukesh complains that even though he disclosed this to the probe team, no action was taken. They also insisted on withdrawing the complaint filed in the court. But all these allegations raised by Sukesh were dismissed by Aam Aadmi Party President Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal alleged that this is to divert attention from the bridge collapse incident in Gujarat.
