Citizens can now file corruption complaints from home; PM Modi launches Complaint Management System portal

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that corrupt people should not be allowed to escape under any circumstances. He added that they shouldn’t be given political and social protection. He was speaking at the program organised as part of Vigilance Awareness Week of the Central Vigilance Commission at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.

“Corruption is an evil and we must stay away from it”, said Modi. The Prime Minister also launched the new Complaint Management System Portal of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). He stated that the new complaint system will allow citizens to raise corruption complaints digitally, besides checking their progress in a user-friendly way.

PM suggested that a ranking of government departments on anti-corruption efforts should be done and pending cases of corruption against officials should be disposed of in good time. Vigilance Awareness Week is being organized from October 31 to November 6 on the theme 'Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation' with the aim of creating public awareness against corruption.
