Youth found lying in a pool of blood near train’s toilet, serious injuries in neck

PALAKKAD: A youth was found lying in a pool of blood in the train. A native of Tamil Nadu traveling in the Egmore Express was seriously injured in the neck. When the train reached Ottapalam Sunday afternoon, the youth was found in a pool of blood near the toilet.

After taking him to Ottapalam Taluk Hospital and given first aid, the youth was shifted to Thrissur Medical College. It is not clear whether the youth was attacked or attempted suicide. The police could not take his statement as his condition was serious.
