Rainfall will intensify in the state during night, 11 districts likely to receive heavy rain accompanied by thunder

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the state is likely to receive heavy rainfall tonight. The warning says that 11 districts of Kerala are likely to receive heavy rain in the next three hours. The IMD informed that isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder.

The IMD had earlier predicted that isolated places in Kerala are likely to receive rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning till November 16. Accordingly, a yellow alert has been announced today in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Palakkad districts.
