Missing elderly couple found dead

WAYANAD: An elderly couple who went missing two days ago have been found dead at the Periya forest area. The deceased are Mananthavady residents, Kunnjueppu, 83, and his wife, Annakutty, 74. It is believed that they died due to poisoning.
Both of them had left their grandson’s house informing that they were going to the hospital. On receiving the missing complaint, the police began an investigation immediately. Meanwhile, they were informed that two persons were seen entering the forests at Periya 35. The police searched the area and found the two dead bodies.
The inquest has been completed and the bodies have been shifted to the Wayanad Govt. Medical College. The couple is survived by their children Gracy, Roy, Babu, and Shaji.
