Infighting continues; Congress freezes decision selecting leader who is a Tharoor supporter as KPCC member

KOTTAYAM: Congress has freezed the decision to make Shaji Kaliyath as a member of KPCC. Shaji was the only leader from Malappuram who signed Tharoor's nomination paper. He was also active in Tharoor's reception at Malappuram. There were also protests earlier against selecting Shaji as a member of KPCC.

Meanwhile, the DCC leadership has officially informed the KPCC that they were not informed about Shashi Tharoor's visit to Kottayam. DCC president Nattakom Suresh has clarified that he will not participate in the program in protest of not informing the district leadership. Also, KPCC Disciplinary Committee Chairman Thiruvachoor Radhakrishnan MLA will not participate in the Youth Congress program. He cited personal inconvenience for his absence.
