'Sreenijan's stance is abuse of power': Sabu M Jacob alleges conspiracy behind case against him

KOCHI: Twenty20 coordinator Sabu M Jacob alleged conspiracy after the police registered a case against him on the complaint filed by Kunathunadu MLA PV Sreenijan. Sabu Jacob also alleged that this case was filed out of fear that they would lose one more panchayat in Kunnathunadu following the Twenty20 program in Tiruvaniyur panchayat on December 6, in which around ten thousand people participated.

Sabu M Jacob said that Sreenijan had attacked his companies to eliminate Twenty20 as they won the last assembly elections.

It is personal freedom whether to share the stage with the MLA and it is the party's decision not to share the stage in any program of the leaders of the mainstream parties. That is why Aikkaranad Panchayat President Deena Deepak was among the audience away rather than being on the stage. Filing a case against it under the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) is display of abuse of power.

A case was registered by the Puthenkurish police on the complaint filed by MLA PV Srinijan that he was insulted and discriminated several times on the stage. Sabu M Jacob is the prime accused in the case and Deena Deepak, the president of Aikkaranad Panchayat, is named the second accused.
