Mob attacks vigilance circle inspector in front of his house in capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A violent mob brutally attacked a vigilance sub inspector. The incident happened last night at Vembayam in the capital city. Vigilance circle inspector Yahiya Khan of Vembayam was brutally attacked in front of his house.

A marriage anniversary function of an air force officer was held at Thekkada Royal Auditorium in Vembayam yesterday. A dispute that broke out after some vehicles of those attending the party were parked in front of Yahiya Khan’s house, ended in the clash. The police who reached the spot after knowing the incident arrested five people. A case was registered against 15 people. The circle inspector who sustained injuries in the clash has been admitted at the Kanyakulangara Hospital. It is heard that the air force officer’s wife is also a police official.
