Tax on all kinds of liquor withdrawn in Dubai; alcohol will be cheaper in the Emirate from Sunday onwards

DUBAI: Dubai has withdrawn tax on liquor on New Year. 30% Municipality tax on every kind of liquor and the fees for individual liquor license have been cancelled. The move has come into effect on January 1, 2023. From Sunday onwards liquor will be available at lower cost in Dubai.

Those with individual license for using liquor legally will get it for free. To apply for this Emirates ID is required. For tourists passports are necessary to complete the official proceedings.
