MUMBAI: According to the latest reports, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who had missed the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup due to injury, will miss the ODI series against Sri Lanka in addition to the T20I series. As per the press release issued by the BCCI, Bumrah has not been included in the squad for the ODI series starting tomorrow. Bumrah, who was initially not named in the Indian squad, was later included in the squad by the selection committee. However, he was not included in the playing eleven. It was after this that the BCCI decided not to include Bumrah in a hurry in the ODI series starting tomorrow.

"Bumrah, who was set to join the team in Guwahati ahead of the ODI series, will need some more time to build bowling resilience. This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure," BCCI said in a statement. The board has not named any replacement for Jasprit Bumrah.

India will play their opening game of the three-match ODI against Sri Lanka on Tuesday in Guwahati. The ODIs will be held in Guwahati, Kolkata and Trivandrum on January 10, 12 and 15 respectively.
