Minor girl sexual assaulted on her way to school in Kollam, threatened to kill her on matter disclosure; 72-year-old man arrested

KOLLAM: The police arrested an old man who sexually assaulted a minor girl. Abdul Lathif (72) of a native of Punnur, Nedumbana was arrested by Kannanalloor police.
The complaint was that he stalked a minor girl who was going to school and sexually assaulted her by force. He continued to sexually assault the girl on the way back from school and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the information. Based on the complaint filed by the girl, the Kannanalloor police registered a case and arrested the accused. He was arrested by a team consisting of SI Najmuddin, SCP Prajeesh, CPOs Lalu and Vishnu led by Inspector Jayakumar.
