Husband kills wife in Kochi, sexually assaulted her after murder and dumped naked body in nearby plantation; then files missing complaint

KOCHI: A husband was arrested for the murder of his wife. The incident took place last night in Kalady’s Kanjoor. The victim was Ratnavalli (35), a native of Thenkasi, Tamil Nadu. After killing her, husband Mahesh Kumar reached the police station with a complaint that Ratnavalli was missing. The police had some suspicions so that they reached the house along with him.

When questioned, the accused told the police that his wife's body was in the nutmeg plantation nearby. The body was found in naked condition. After the murder, sexual assault was also committed.

After being interrogated by the police, the accused confessed that he had strangled his wife. Suspicion is the reason for murder. The couple, natives of Tamil Nadu, had been living in Kalady for a long time.
