Marijuana dealer arrested in Kozhikode; main supplier to migrant laborers

KOZHIKODE: Bengal native who used to cart marijuana for migrant laborers in Kerala has been arrested. The Beypore harbor police have registered the arrest. The man arrested hails from south 24 Parganas in west Bengal and goes by the name Sumal Das. According to police, the Sumal routinely transported weed to fellow migrant laborers in the state. A total of 200gm weed has been confiscated from him. His work of distribution was mostly concentrated in the Beypore area and the nearby lodges. The police were served a hint from nearby localities about Sumal's suspicious endeavors. SI K Shuhaib headed the investigation that led to arresting Sumal.
