Eid al-Adha: Four-day holiday announced for private sector
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced a four-day holiday on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. The holiday is for employees of the private sector and NGOs. The holiday was announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The holiday will begin on the Day of Arafah, Tuesday, May 26 (9th of Dhul-Hijjah). The ministry also officially announced that this holiday is granted subject to the conditions specified in the executive regulations of the country's labour law.
The UAE also announced official holidays for the public and private sectors. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization announced that private sector employees in the country will be given four days of paid leave. The official holidays announced by the ministry are from the 26th to the 29th of this month.
However, this time, Sharjah government employees will be given a long holiday of 10 consecutive days, including weekend holidays. The working hours in Sharjah, which have only four working days, paved the way for this long holiday. Various Gulf countries had announced Eid holidays.
