24-year-old Indian expatriate killed in Saudi Arabia highway accident

RIYADH: A 24-year-old Indian expatriate lost his life after being struck by a speeding vehicle in Saudi Arabia. The victim, identified as Tashmeem Akhtar Muhammad Owais Sarwar, hailed from Bokaro in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on the Jubail Highway while Tashmeem was attempting to cross the road. Emergency services rushed to the scene immediately following the collision and transported him to the Jubail General Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Tashmeem had migrated to the Kingdom in December last year and was employed with a private firm.

The body is currently being kept at the Jubail General Hospital mortuary. Volunteers from the Pravasi Welfare Jubail chapter have stepped in to assist the family, confirming that they are currently coordinating with authorities to complete the legal formalities and repatriate the mortal remains to India.
