'War will extend beyond Middle East'; Iran responds to Trump's ultimatum
TEHRAN: Iran gave a clear warning that the war will spread beyond the Middle East if Israel or the United States dares to attack Tehran again. Iran's response follows US President Donald Trump's warning that a nuclear deal should be reached within two or three days. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the enemies of planning a new phase of war.
As peace talks continue to stall, Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is acting as mediator, arrived in Tehran on Wednesday. Qatar addressed the need for more time to bridge the gaps between the US and Iran and reach an agreement. Meanwhile, a report has emerged that the US lost 42 aircraft, including drones and fighter jets, during the war against Iran.
Israel's continued attacks on southern Lebanon killed 19 people on Wednesday. 17 were injured. Despite a US-brokered ceasefire that came into effect on April 16, Israel continues to attack Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. The death toll in Lebanon since March 2 has exceeded 3,070.
