'Clumsy mistake that changed my face'; Adithyan Jayan responds to health issue rumours

Television star Adithyan Jayan’s recent online interview ignited doubts about his health as he looked pale and dark, in a totally unrecognisable avatar. Rumours pointed to a liver disease, which the actor came out denying. Adithyan said the facial transformation was due to an allergy, which later worsened following a mistake made by the staff at the beauty parlour while styling his beard.

Following the interview, people started spreading speculation over Adithyan’s health and blamed it on the actor’s purported drinking habit. Adithyan said he was forced to make the clarification since many started spreading fake news after the interview. Adithyan said that he is not a heavy drinker and bragged about having total control when it comes to handling alcohol.

Adithyan Jayan:

"For some time now, I have been targeted from many ends. I don't pay attention. I keep quiet and rather ignore those comments. The dark complexion on my face was a makeup allergy from two years ago. Everyone who has worked with me knows that. When the allergy showed signs of going on its own, eight months ago, I visited my friend's beauty parlour in Ernakulam, and the staff made a mistake while dyeing my moustache and beard. The allergy worsened, and my face became totally unrecognisable. I had many more difficulties. Even doctors couldn’t help me.

However, the allergies were cured under the care of a prominent doctor. It is said that the repeated allergies were due to less sun exposure.”
