Sources close to the actor state that he requested muted celebrations this year, following the recent demise of his mother.
Despite the actor's preference for privacy, fans have already flooded social media platforms with custom tribute reels and birthday greetings, effectively taking over digital spaces since midnight.
While the actor's official birthday is today, his traditional birth star (Revathi in the Malayalam month of Edavam) falls on June 11 this year.
Adding to the birthday fervour, the highly anticipated thriller Drishyam 3 is poised for a massive theatrical release. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already script history, breaching the ₹25-crore mark in worldwide advance bookings alone. This includes a staggering domestic gross collection of ₹10.50 crores before day one.
