Chief Minister to present white paper on state's financial condition in Assembly today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will present a white paper on the state's financial condition in the Legislative Assembly today. The discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor's policy address will also conclude today. The state cabinet will meet this morning to discuss the white paper in detail before it is tabled.

The white paper will mainly focus on the government's revenue losses and extravagant spending over the past ten years. It will also detail the financial burden caused by KIIFB, issues with tax collection, funds received from the Central Government under various categories, and how those funds were spent or diverted. Additionally, the document will reveal the exact current state of the government treasury.
