Telugu superstar, MLA, and TDP leader Nandamuri Balakrishna has once again hit the headlines by spending lakhs on his favourite number. Balakrishna shelled out Rs 7.75 lakhs for the vehicle registration number '0001.' In a recent auction conducted by the Regional Transport Authority in Hyderabad, Balakrishna placed the highest bid for this coveted number. Other popular numbers like 0009, 9999, 0005, 0007, 0019, and 0099 were also part of the auction.
Nandamuri Balakrishna is popularly known by the names 'Balayya' and 'NBK.' He was among the 19 recipients of the Padma Bhushan award this year, the third-highest civilian honour in India. He was recognised for his contributions to Telugu cinema and his humanitarian efforts. Notable personalities, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, director S. S. Rajamouli, and actors Jr. NTR, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Mahesh Babu extended their congratulations to the star on receiving the honour.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna’s 109th film, Daaku Maharaaj, released in January, made a grand start by earning Rs 156 crores within the first eight days. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film featured Bobby Deol, Urvashi Rautela, Shraddha Srinath, and Pragya Jaiswal in key roles.
