Actor Hareesh Kanaran has spoken openly about a bad experience he faced with a well-known production controller in Malayalam cinema. According to Hareesh, he was denied multiple acting opportunities after he asked the man to repay borrowed money. When the amount was not returned, he lodged a complaint with the AMMA association. Following this, the production controller reportedly used his influence to block Hareesh from getting roles. The actor shared these details during an interview with an online media platform.
Hareesh Kanaran’s words:
“He was a major production controller who handled most Malayalam films. I had lent him around Rs 20 lakh. Out of that, he returned only about Rs 6 lakh. When I was building my house, I asked him for the remaining amount. But he did not return it. So I filed a complaint with the AMMA association.
Maybe out of anger, he interfered and cut me out of many films in which I was supposed to act. I had a role in Ajayante Randam Moshanam as well, and I lost that too. Once, Tovino asked me why I wasn’t seen on set. I missed many such films. People thought I had disappeared from cinema. After some time away, I am now becoming active in acting again.”
