Actress Maala Parvathi is known for taking a firm stand on various issues in the film industry. The actress, who became popular through powerful character roles, worked as a television anchor before entering the film industry. In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, the actress opened up about her early career struggles and unforgettable moments in cinema.
"I left my job in a television channel after having a disagreement with Mammootty. He still holds me in high regard. At that time, the ratings of my program were going down. The channel asked me to bring more celebrity guests for marketing. I spoke to Mammootty about it, but he misunderstood what I said. Both of us got upset during the conversation, and I quit the job. Later, I even had a heated exchange with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Still, Mammootty was the first person to tell me I was acting well, and he supported me in many ways. I continue to respect him a lot,” Maala Parvathi said.
She also spoke about actor Mohanlal. "I was able to do his interview for five programs. We were even invited to have food with his mother. She is one of the most lively personalities that I've come across in life. Watching her talk was a joy," she said.
Sharing her experience of working with actor Suraj Venjaramoodu, Maala Parvathi added: “I have acted with Suraj as his lover, mother, and wife in different films. On set, we only talk about work. He is an actor who takes his craft very seriously.”
