KOCHI: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) is planning to build a village for film stars to live together when they become older. This is the idea of Mohanlal, the organization's former president. The efforts for the project have started. Actor Baburaj informed his colleagues about the new project at the inaugural function of Sanjeevani Life Saving Scheme to be implemented by AMMA.
Mohanlal clarified that the project was considered long ago and the plan is to build a village for everyone to live in consultation with the government. Although there is such a facility in Tamil Nadu, the plan has not been effective. We need to work on it unitedly. Minister Saji Cherian has assured help from the government. Therefore, Mohanlal said the plan should be implemented.
Sanjeevani is a plan that regularly distributes medicines for lifestyle diseases to 82 members of the organization. The organization provides medicines worth Rs 1 lakh per year to members who register in the plan as per the approval of the medical board. This will also include life-saving medicines. Rs 90 lakh collected from the family gathering will be spent for this.
Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Sreenivasan, Manju Warrier, Baburaj, Tini Tom, Jayan Cherthala, Jomol, Ananya, Vinu Mohan and others also attended the event.
