Mollywood's Big M's in Chatha Pacha? Promo video sparks discussion

Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, will see a rare scenario of industry stalwarts Mohanlal and Mammootty teaming up again after decades. The film will hit the theatres as a Vishu release. However, there are indications that Mohanlal and Mammootty have already appeared together in a movie which is slated for release next. It is reported that the superstars have acted in Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies, which is the first full-length WWE-style action comedy film in Malayalam cinema.

The rumours started after Mohanlal appeared in a video booking the first ticket of the film.

“I am with this team. And my close friend too”, Mohanlal said in the promo video.

There were earlier reports that Mammootty will be seen as a wrestling coach named Walter in the film. Following this, information has emerged that Mohanlal will also be a part of the film. The film, which has completed censoring, has been given a U/A 13+ certificate. Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies will hit the theatres on January 22.

Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Visakh Nair, Ishan Shaukat (Marco fame) and Pooja Mohandas play the lead roles in the film. The film is directed by debutant Advaith Nair. The film is produced by Ritesh S. Ramakrishnan and Shihan Shaukat under the banner of Reel World Entertainment.
