Mouni Roy confirms divorce news; Disha Patani goes trending on social media

The rumours came true as actress Mouni Roy announced her divorce from Malayali businessman Suraj Nambiar. Just after announcing the news and requesting privacy, the actress turned off her comment section.

However, after the news surfaced, Disha Patani went trending on social media as many blamed her for rupturing the marriage. Disha and Mouni used to frequent vacations together and share a special bond. Amid rumours of divorce, Disha unfollowed Suraj, which raised many eyebrows. Many even gossiped that the two actresses were currently dating each other.

Mouni Roy first met Malayali Suraj Nambiar during the New Year celebrations in Dubai in 2019. Although the two initially kept their relationship private, news of their romance emerged when Mouni spent time in Dubai during the COVID period. The wedding took place on January 27, 2022, in Goa. The wedding was conducted following the Bengali-Kerala customs. Suraj Nambiar is a Dubai-based businessman.
