Murali was a very beloved actor among Malayalis. He was well-known for his roles as both a character artist and a villain. He was the one who named the actors' association 'AMMA.' His last movie was Aadhavan, starring Suriya. Now, Murali's daughter Karthika has shared some personal details about her father. She shared these details in an interview given to a YouTube channel.
“My father lived for the family. He had taken me and my mother to the set of the movie Venkalam. I remember watching him act in a song sequence with Urvashi in that film. He mentioned that playing the role in the film 'Neythukaran' was quite challenging. It was the character of an elderly person, and he studied the mannerisms of older people to perform the role accurately.
Nobody knew about father’s illness. His last movie was Aadhavan, which was shot in Africa. The weather was very cold there, and he caught pneumonia. That is how he passed away. His death was totally unexpected, and it has been very hard to survive that loss. He was very happy when he won the national award. My father and Mammookka shared a great friendship. Mammookka even attended my wedding. They had a strong bond, but I still don’t know why they had a falling out. It was my father who named the actors' association AMMA,” Karthika said.
