'Not a prank, very unsettling question from anchor'; Hannah Reji Koshy clears air on viral video

The interview held for the promotion of the movie ‘DNA’ directed by TS Suresh Babu and starring Ashkar Saudan was all in the news for odd reasons. The interview of actress Hannah Reji Koshy and actor Ashkar Saudan went awry after the anchor engaged in some detestable talk. Many doubted the whole incident to be scripted or was a prank from the film crew. However, Hannah Reji Koshy has now come up with an explanation, settling all doubts.

The anchor had earlier asked the duo in the interview whether actresses thrive in the industry only after sharing bed with filmmakers. This led to a bitter exchange between the duo and the anchor. Ashkar fretted saying ‘people with talent will come to the forefront’ while Hannah staged a walk-off.

Hannah:

“We told them to not telecast or upload the video online. Now we are trying to delete all the shorts and reels of the video uploaded online. I responded to the question since it was not something to be allowed a free pass. People will interpret it differently.

We have been attending many interviews, but people raised doubt that this interview was a prank only for its negative shade. The online channel might have asked the question with eyes for increasing viewership but we were not impressed. What if I have asked back the anchor the same question? what would be her feeling for that?”

Ashkar:

Presently in Malayalam cinema, women are at the forefront, playing pivotal roles. It was a question in such poor taste and she might have asked it in the excitement. We are not clinging to the issue, as it is over but whatever is said can’t be taken back.
