The controversial film 'JSK - Janaki. V v/s State of Kerala' is set to hit theatres worldwide on July 17. The film's lead actor Suresh Gopi himself shared the information. The actor announced the release date of JSK by sharing the poster on Facebook. The film has been given a UA 16+ certificate.
The Censor Board had given permission to the film with eight changes. The Censor Board approved the re-edited version. The name of the film and the court scenes have been edited. The film's original title was 'JSK - Janaki v/s State of Kerala'. After the Central Censor Board denied permission for the film, the producers agreed to change the name of the film and two court scenes. Following this, the new edited film was presented to the Censor Board. The mention of this name will be muted in the cross-examination scenes. The producers, Cosmos Entertainment, had accepted the suggestions put forward by the Central Censor Board in the High Court in this regard.
JSK is a film written and directed by Praveen Narayanan and starring Suresh Gopi and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. Suresh Gopi plays the role of Advocate David Abel Donovan. JSK is also the return of Anupama Parameswaran to Malayalam cinema after a long time.
This is also the first film in which Suresh Gopi and his son Madhav Suresh come together.
