Actress Shruthi Rajanikanth has come out in support of fellow actress Vincy Aloshious, who recently revealed that an actor had misbehaved with her under the influence of alcohol on a film set. Shruthi expressed her admiration for Vincy, saying she really likes her.

"That particular actor's personal life is not always like what we see in the movies. I used to watch every movie in theatres, but now I’ve reduced that. There are some films I don’t watch anymore when certain actors are in them—and there are reasons for that."

"Some things look beautiful from afar, but you only understand the issues when you get closer. That’s what Vincy is talking about. I’ve had two kinds of experiences. Some people, once you get to know them, turn out to be kind-hearted. But there are also people I once admired deeply, and after getting to know them personally, I felt I should’ve never met them—and decided never to see them again."

"What Vincy said is absolutely true. Getting projects in this industry doesn’t happen regularly. It’s a highly competitive field. There are people who will do anything to move ahead, but there are also those who succeed without compromising. This is a huge topic, but you can't claim that someone like Vincy isn’t getting roles because of a lack of talent. That would be totally unfair. What needs to be questioned is why she’s not getting roles—there must be an issue behind it."

"Not everything that glitters is gold. What we see isn't always the reality, and people need to understand that. Many have had bad experiences in different ways. Even if you’re a common person or someone working in this industry, you’ll face problems. I’ve personally been asked something very disrespectful. In a certain situation, when I was treated very badly, I walked out. A person in a much higher position asked me, ‘Who do you think you are—Mammootty? To just walk out like that in front of me?’ Let me be clear: I deeply respect stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal. But you don’t have to be that big a superstar to stand up for yourself. If someone disrespects you, you have every right to respond and walk away."

"I’m not surprised by what Vincy said—I’ve experienced it too. I’ve been in situations where someone behaved badly under the influence of alcohol, and I had to stand silently, thinking about the others around. I’ve even seen shoots getting cancelled because of such behaviour. That’s why I fully support Vincy in what she said," Shruthi concluded.
