South Indian stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have tied the knot today, putting an end to all rumours about their relationship. The wedding took place in the presence of close family members and friends. No photos were released earlier because photography was prohibited at the ceremony. Now, Vijay Devarakonda has shared wedding pictures on his official social media page, along with a heartfelt message about Rashmika.
In his post, he wrote: 'One day, I missed her. Missed her in a way that made me feel like my day would've been better if she were around. Like my meals would’ve felt more wholesome if she were sitting across from me. Like my workouts would’ve been more fun and less of a punishment if she were doing them with me.
Like I needed her - just to feel that sense of home and calm, no matter where I was.
So, I made my best friend… my wife.'
The private ceremony was attended by only about 100 guests. Reports say a larger wedding celebration will be held on March 4 at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad for prominent figures from the film industry. The couple have referred to their wedding as Virosh, a blended name combining letters from Vijay and Rashmika.
Rashmika and Vijay first acted together in the film Geetha Govindam in 2018. Rumours about their relationship began to circulate during the shooting of the film. They later starred together again in Dear Comrade (2019), which further strengthened speculation about their relationship. There were also reports that the two had a private engagement a few months before the wedding.
