'This record will never be rewritten'; Veteran director Priyadarshan announces 100th film

Veteran film director Priyadarshan has announced his 100th film. Sticking with his earlier promise, Priyadarshan confirmed that it will be his best friend Mohanlal, who will play the protagonist in his 100th film. The announcement was made in a video where Mohanlal, Priyadarshan, Antony Perumbavoor and Binu George Alexander appeared together. The film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. This is also Aashirvad's 38th film. Binu George Alexander is the co-producer.

“It will be the first time in the history of world cinema that the same hero who played the role in the first film will act in the 100th film of the director. This record will never be rewritten. I am doing my 100th film with such a record in mind,” Priyadarshan said in the video announcing the film.

Mohanlal, while responding, said that not just in the 100th movie, but he will also appear in future projects of Priyadarshan.
