KOCHI: Actor Unni Mukundan has thrown clarification on the complaint that he assaulted his former manager Vipin Kumar. Unni Mukundan told a press conference that he did not assault his manager Vipin Kumar. Unni Mukundan added that Vipin's complaint was fabricated and that he was spreading false news.
"I am not a person with many friends, but Tovino Thomas is my close friend. I will not speak badly about Tovino. The complaint filed by Vipin is fabricated. More than one actress has complained against Vipin. I will file a complaint with the DGP against the manager," Unni clarified. Vipin alleges that Unni Mukundan assaulted him after he praised the film Narivetta starring Tovino Thomas.
'Vipin is spreading false news about me. I threw out the sunglasses during the argument that day. I did not assault him. A woman called me from an unknown number two weeks ago. She said many names. One of the names was Vipin's. She said very bad things. I have filed a complaint with the DGP, including all that. This is not a case of assault. There was no assault.
As a friend, I wanted to know why Vipin was saying bad things about me. It is true that I threw his cooling glass during the verbal argument there. There is a complaint against Vipin in FEFKA. Vipin is not even a member of FEFKA. There was a verbal argument that day. I did not even touch him. The person who was with him there has given his statement. The people of Kerala made me who I am. We release films by working hard,' said Unni Mukundan.
