Social media is abuzz with discussions after Sangeetha Sornalingam, wife of actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam founder Vijay, reportedly filed for divorce. According to reports, Sangeetha filed a petition with the Chengalpattu Family Court, alleging an extramarital relationship between the actor and an actress. Following these claims, actress Trisha Krishnan has been facing widespread cyber attacks, with several social media users accusing her of being responsible for the reported issues in Vijay’s marriage.
Amid the controversy, reports have surfaced that Trisha has unfollowed Vijay on Instagram. Earlier, she had shared a photo with him on his birthday and wished him publicly. The post has not been deleted. However, fans claim that Vijay's name is currently not visible in Trisha's following list. Meanwhile, some users argue that the actress had not been following him earlier either.
Vijay has not responded to the allegations so far. He also remained silent when Nainar Nagendran, the BJP state president, raised allegations related to Trisha.
Earlier, Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay reportedly unfollowed him on social media. Jason, who had previously followed his father’s profile, is said to have unfollowed him after news of his mother’s divorce petition surfaced. Some have interpreted this move as a sign of a rift between father and son. 25-year-old Jason is preparing to direct a film. Vijay and Sangeetha have two children- son Jason Sanjay and daughter Divya Saasha. Jason had appeared in a small role in the film Vettaikaaran, while Divya acted in Theri.
