Valentine's day marriage; Dhanush's close friends respond to news

On Friday, rumours surfaced about a Valentine’s Day marriage planned between actors Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush. The reports suggested that the ceremony would be very intimate. Earlier, there were reports that the two had been dating for a long time. However, a national media outlet reported that sources close to Dhanush called the news fake.

"The news is completely fake and baseless. Don't fall for it. Fake propaganda should be rejected,' said sources close to the actor. A picture of the two hugging at the premiere of the Bollywood film Son of Sardaar 2, in which Ajay Devgn and Mrunal played the lead roles, had earlier gone viral. Dhanush had also attended Mrunal's birthday party.

Later, social media found that Mrunal was following all three of Dhanush's sisters on Instagram. Pictures of the two attending a party together, hosted by Kanika Dhillon, the producer of Dhanush's film ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, were also leaked. Fans also discovered that Dhanush and Mrunal share the same playlist on Spotify.
