'Who gave you authority to use the term 'rowdy' to describe Mohanlal?' Major Ravi lashes out at Adoor Gopalakrishnan

A few days ago, renowned director Adoor Gopalakrishnan had stated that he did not make a movie with Mohanlal because of the latter's image of a 'good rowdy'. Adoor also said that he was not able to remove such an image from his mind. Adoor made the controversial remark in an interview given to a national media. Now, actor and director Major Ravi has come out criticizing Adoor over his remark.

In his Facebook post, Major Ravi slammed Adoor for using the term 'rowdy' when he spoke about the reason for not doing a film with Mohanlal. Major Ravi also asked him not to degrade himself as a hypocrite always looking towards the north and shouting while ignoring the incidents in Kerala. Ravi also slammed Adoor over his stand regarding the caste discrimination controversy at the KR Narayanan Institute.

'In a recent interview, I saw you describing Mohanlal as a "good rowdy" and saying that you will not make a film with him. Who gave you the authority to use the term 'rowdy' to describe Mohanlal in public? As people get older, their frustrations increase. A rowdy will never be good. There is no such thing as a good rowdy or a bad rowdy.. Mr. Adoor, don't try to insult anyone like this just because you can never reach where Mohanlal stands.

Likewise, do not mislead the children of KR Narayanan Academy according to your interests. Everyone knows that your very close friend is sitting there. For that, don't spoil children's future by creating tension among them. I hope you will pay attention before speaking things like this in public again. This is just a little advice...'
