Is this college or place for misogynistic activities?

conflict-

The conflict and related incidents that took place at the Government Law College in Thiruvananthapuram in connection with the Union inauguration will make literate Kerala bow its head in shame. Although there are student conflicts in colleges, they never get to the point where they attack girls. But Safna Yakub, president of the KSU unit at the college, was dragged to the ground by a group of so-called SFI activists and brutally beaten. Scenes of Safna being surrounded and beaten are spreading on social media. It's only natural if anyone wonders if it happened in Kerala. Not only Safna but also her KSU colleagues were also injured. After the incident, there were complaints that SFIs also attacked a rented house where KSU workers were staying. Safna and her classmates are being treated at the Medical College Hospital.

It is heard that other student organizations are not even allowed to operate in the college on arrogance that it is the stronghold of SFI. SFI is an organization whose motto is Freedom, Democracy and Socialism. Hooliganism is not fit for democracy. The public will never expect this approach from SFI, which has captured the hearts of students in Kerala through its exemplary work. It would be beneficial for the leadership to take the initiative to end the violence that is being perpetrated in the name of the organization. SFI office bearers are responsible for expelling criminals from the organization and bringing them to justice.

Safna says she was attacked by her classmates from SFIs before. Such incidents are empowering examples for those who raise objections to college politics. College needs politics. It is also beneficial not to push students into anarchy. But there is a limit to everything.

Campus time is an unforgettable moment in life. When classmates fight over politics, they need to think for themselves what is left to think about in the future.

In the past, friendships between boys and girls had many limitations. That situation has changed and the sky of freedom has been created. It's the time of children that treat each other like siblings. What is there to gain by erasing friendships and fighting for narrow politics?

Another unfortunate thing is the proliferation of drug users on campuses. Safna has revealed that she suspects her attackers are drug addicts. All student organizations must work together to curb the use of drugs that will destroy future generations. One need not differentiate between SFI, KSU or ABVP in this case. The opposition alleges that the police are negligent in this matter. The only consolation is that the Chief Minister has said that further investigation will be carried out and action will be taken. This is not a matter to be taken lightly. Colleges should not become a stage for atrocities. Such an incident should not be repeated anywhere in Kerala. Any girl working in any organization should have the opportunity to raise her head and study and work in the campus with courage. Those who claim to be the great revolutionaries for women's freedom should think that this obscene drama was staged weeks before Women's Day.
