SHILLONG: The Indore Crime Branch informed that all the four accused in the murder of businessman Raja Raghuvanshi have confessed to the crime. The police said Raja Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam had revealed that she had watched her husband being murdered.

One of the accused, Vicky Thakur, was the first to hit Raja Raghuvanshi on his head. The body was later thrown into a gorge. Sonam’s lover Raj Kushwaha is the co-conspirator of the murder. He hatched the conspiracy from Indore. Police said that he paid Rs 50,000 for the travel expenses of the accused.

Meantime, close sources said Sonam had told her family about her relationship with Raj Kushwaha. Vipin, Raja Raghuvanshi's brother, in his statement said Sonam had told her mother about her relationship with Raj Kushwaha. She told her mother that she was not interested in marrying Raja. Sonam's mother opposed her relationship with Raj. She also forced her to marry Raghuvanshi. Sonam finally agreed to marry, but she had warned of the consequences.

Vipin told police that Sonam had told her mother, 'You will see what I do to that person. You will have to bear the consequences.' No one thought she would kill Raja. Raj Kushwaha worked as an accountant at the furniture unit owned by Sonam's family. Sonam also managed the family business.
