Domestic flight travel for Rs 1250; Air India Express launches flash sale

KOCHI: Air India Express launched a flash sale with domestic flight tickets starting from Rs 1,250 and international flight tickets starting from Rs 6,131. Tickets at the offer price are available for domestic travel up to September 19, 2025, and international travel on August 6, 12 and 20. Tickets can be booked through the Air India Express website (airindiaexpress.com), mobile app and other booking channels until May 25.

For domestic flights, passengers travelling without checked baggage can get tickets at the Xpress Lite fare for Rs 1,250. Tickets can also be purchased at the Express Value fare starting from Rs 1,375. International passengers can also get tickets at Xpress Value fares of Rs 6,288 and Xpress Flex fares of Rs 7,038, in addition to the Xpress Lite fare of Rs 6,131.

The convenience fee has been waived for those booking Xpress Lite tickets through the Air India Express website. Those travelling on Express Lite fares without checked-in baggage can book an additional three kilos of cabin baggage in advance free of cost, in addition to the existing seven kilos of cabin baggage. In addition to the free baggage allowance, those with excess baggage will be charged only Rs 1,000 for 15 kg of checked-in baggage on domestic flights and Rs 1,300 for 20 kg on international flights.

Air India Express loyalty members who book tickets through the website will get a 25 per cent discount on Xpress Biz fares. Xpress Biz seats are also available on more than 40 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft recently inducted into Air India Express' fleet as part of its rapid expansion. They also offer a 25 per cent discount on gourmet meals, a choice of standard and prime seats, and express Ahead priority services.

Students, senior citizens, doctors, nurses, armed forces personnel and their dependents can also book tickets through the website at a special discount.
